Hey, here in the USA you could probably take the landlord to small claims 
court, if you had some sort of agreement about the land, even just verbally. 
That is not fair, considering the work and preparation you put into it. Of 
course you should always get something in writing before going too far in 
planing stuff, so something like this can't happen! But don't give up, if 
there is no way you can negotiate with this guy, I am sure there might be 
land some other place close to use. It seems stupid that this guy just wants 
to have grass there. Sounds like a jerk.
