Slow and steady could still get you there. I'm closer to you with 6" vines.
I'm 5 weeks behind top growers here in Eastern Ontario. But I'm always
behind at this time of the year. I don't cover my plants - no time- We had
a chance of Frost last night - I didn't cover - but looks like we didn't
get hit. I like to see my pumpkins maxing out in August - Can't stand
having a very large fruit sitting in the patch for 5-6 weeks before the
weighoff - like to see em grow right up to Oct 1. You have lots of time .
Grow'in em slowly in Spencerville.
