The burying process is just siply this:
1. taker a shovel full of soil, and put on the leaf junction with the vine (where the leaf stem meets the vine) and cover it with about an inch of soil. before you put it down, take a look , you will faintly see the little white nodule waiting for some awesome grower to do this. This little white bump is on top and on bottom, and even sometimes on the same leaf junction more than twice! Hope this helped..

I keep expecting to get a clear idea on burying vines but so far I don't feel I know how to do this. What part of the vine do you bury? When do you bury? Is it at the leaf or between the leafs. This is my first year growing a pumpkin and I have gotten a great deal of excellent information off the internet and I sure have learned a great deal from all of you but I still don't get exactly what to do when I bury a vine. Has anybody got some words of advice for me? I'd be very appreciative.
