You really can't look at what another grower does and do the exact same
thing. there are many variables involved environmentaly......climate ,
soil type, your best judge is observation. Such as growth are you happy
with it what the plants doing and looking. Too much water in a heavy soil
leads to root rot. Do tests water and then measure growth.......reading a
plant come with practice...so take note...brock
