Hello group,
Is it common for the first two or three fruits to not
totally develop on the main vine? I have had three females at 5, 7 and 9'
all abort before bloom. the 12' looks great right now and should bloom in a
couple days but still I am concerned. The 9' foot female looked good til
yesterday about a day before it should have bloomed and then just started to
wilt. the plant has adequate water and I have been using miracle gro and
seaweed/fish emulsion for fertilization. Other than high humidity about 85%
with 85 degree temps. everthing else has been perfect. Should I use some
blossom set, which contains calcium nitrate? My soil test shows I have
plenty of calcium in the soil about 7000 lbs per acre. Just for info. the
plant is a Ciliberto 697.
Any thoughts
