My latest dilema is the fact something is taking chunks out of my 1 or
two day from blossoming females.. I think it is birds coming after the
gypsy caterpillers I had(sevin did wonders), and then when they get
close to the patch, they see the bright yellow ball, and go over and
take a peck out of it, and leave.. I have lost my first five females
this way. At first, I thought it was the caterpillers, but the chunk is
too clean cut, too long, and just looks like a pointy object was the
culprit..
What I want to know is this.. What do most of you do for birds?
Tonite I bought an inflatable owl and an inflatable snake.. I also
bought the aluminum pie plates, and tied them to a string, to try and
distract the birds away.., People around here seen to favor the owl, but
Ill do anything to get whatever it is to stop eating my females! What is
the remedies out on the list? Cant wait to hear some fo the responses..
I already got a few personal emaisl regarding this subject, and I
already got this answer.. "Forget about inflatable owls and snakes, get
the inflatable doll and u will forget about pumpkins.. "
