Thank you for the advice I will try adding some potash. When I planted them
out I used a slow release general purpose fertiliser and this seems to have
produced strong healthy plants. Would blood fish and bone meal be of
assistance? I fell in love with pumpkin on our honeymoon in New England but
until I grew some pumpkins this year I have never seen the plants so this
is a very steep though enjoyable learning curve for me. I do enjoy watching
them grow so fast and am eagerly anticipating a freezer full of good things
made from my very own pumkins if my male flowers ever wake up. Once again
thank you so much or taking the trouble to advise me,
