Roy, Bindweed is a bad one for long term control. They can put down roots
over 60ft. If you cultivate around it all the pieces will start new
plants. In the past I have used Tordon and gotten 1 year of top kill.
Don't use Tordon on any area where you grow Broadleafs. The 24D is a burn
chemical, it will set the plant back alittle but won't help. Any
bio-control only helps with seed reduction and inhibiting plant growth.
Mechanical hand contol for 4-5 years is the only method of eradication I
know. Keep all light off it and stop all top growth. Remove all the
pieces. You can wear out plants by not letting them get any energy. The
problem with using chemicals is getting them down in the root zone and then
keeping them there. Roger
