yea, bags of ice, that sounds insane to me, as I see it that water that
lands, in my cast the mist is there so that is will evaporate and thus cool
the plant, I don't just water a few times a day with cold water thinking
that will cool my plant off plenty. I try to do it all day to keep temps
down, and just as the plants dry off the are hit with more mist. As you
know that is how we cool ourselves off, by evaporation. I have also noticed
that the plant stays cool and so does the pumpkin because the water it is
pumpkin out of the ground is cold. I have a raised bed and the roots are
obviously pulling water our from very deep where the water is cool so it
cools itself. That together with the fact that the leaves don't have to use
ground water to cool by evaporation the pumped water from the roots keeps
everything pretty cool.
