Keep the soil temps up there until germination. Dr. Chris Mpelkas (
photobiologist for GTE Sylvania now retired) said that a combination of one
standard grow lux bulb with one growlux wide spectrum bulb is the
best.....use a 4 foot double fixture (shop light). If you don't want to spend
the money, use one cool white bulb and one warm white or wide spectrum bulb.
They are probably, almost as good as the grow lights.......probably not quite
as much red and blue but ok. At home depot, the gro lights are not that much
money anymore...a few bucks more is all.
