Re: New world record
I'm guessing that we will have a new record this year, not gonna speculate
where, and i also think that we'll have more 1000# pumpkins than the last
two years. One more thing, I am predicting that either this year or next
year will be the first time a 1000+ will be grown from a 1000+ pumpkin. The
Gervais 975.6 and the 977 Andersen have so far been the two closest to 1000
which were also grown from 1000+ pumpkins. That's not far off. We have to
remember that 1000 pounds is only an arbitrary number, and that if we were
just about anywhere except north america, we'd be shooting for 500 kilograms
(about 1,102#).
