Growing Area

My growing area this year will be approximately 65'X65' square. How many
plants can comfortably grow in this area without overcrowding? The entire
area is open to full sunlight for the entire day.

Also, I live in Central Virginia, if I start my seeds indoors in peat pots
would I be ok to have them ready to transplant by the second week of May?

How long do they need to be in the pots before they are big enough to plant?
