very new to pumpkins...

Hi all...

I live in Seattle, and I've put a pumpkin patch in my front yard
(western exposure, sunshine all day).

I've probably got average top soil out there (I haven't put the
plants in the ground yet, I started them inside) and I'm wondering
what is best to mix into the soil to help the plants flourish.

I believe I'm in zone 8, here. We've got the zoo nearby, so of course
they sell "zoo doo" at all the nurseries nearby -- would that be any
good? I believe it's everything from antelope to zebra... (:

Any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated since I have no idea
what I'm doing. (:

Thanks.
