G, It depends
on how you purchase your topsoil. When
purchasing that large amount, it is usually measured by the dump-truck
capacity. In this case, the topsoil has
been ‘fluffed’ and you are right, add about 10%. For smaller amounts, purchased in pre-measured bags, this should
not be necessary. (Can you imagine 33 Cu.
Yd. purchased by the 40 lb bag? That’s
