Re: vine borrers


The squash vine borer moth lays its eggs on the stems and vines, not on the leaves. From there they bore into either the stem or vine and begin their damage. The importance of this is that if you spray an insecticide you want to be sure to cover the stems & vines thoroughly, and not worry about the leaves (for this particular insect).
