I have never seen the SVB larva or adult, but I am in an entomology class
and would love if someone could save one in an alcohol vile and send it my
way. Maybe someone already has done this. If so, email me privatley and
maybe we can work something out in terms of compensation

The squash vine borer moth lays its eggs on the stems and vines, not on the
leaves. From there they bore into either the stem or vine and begin their
damage. The importance of this is that if you spray an insecticide you want
to be sure to cover the stems & vines thoroughly, and not worry about the
leaves (for this particular insect). There are some excellent articles on
this subject authored by Hugh Wiberg, Wayne Hackney and Len Stellpflugg. The
