California Growers Seminar
HI Group,
The California Growers held their Spring Meeting yesterday (Saturday the 16
th)
at Borchard Farms in Salinas. About 100 growers from all over the state
attended.......we also had a surprise visit from Jack LaRue from WA and Jim
Sherwood
from OR.
Guest speaker, local insect specialist Mike Miller gave us helpful advice
and info on insect
control and also answered a wide variety of questions from the growers.

A special "Thank You" to Tom and Kathy Borchard for hosting this event.
Also special thanks
to Lila & Jack Vezzolo, Bob Troy and Pete & Cindi Glasier for their many
hours of hard work
which made our gathering so enjoyable.
The California Growers also wish to thank the many growers from across the
country and
from Canada who contributed their extraordinary seeds for our Seed Raffle
(which was a HUGE
success).
GENEROSITY is "alive and well" in our International pumpkin growing
community !!
