Hi buddy
Looks to me (second year grower also) that the Hypocotyl (stem between roots and Dicots) was growing so rapidly to force the Dicots (seed leaves) to the light. Take into consideration your lighting source it should be close enough to the plant that it allows the plant to remain compact, without burning the leaves. Try florescent tubes at between 6 and 10 inches away from the top of the plant or soil before the seed pops its Dicots. And keep the light at least 6 inches from the plant as it grows.. Try this and see how it works !!! Take care..
