Re: can i plant under a tree?

TF.......Under normal growing conditions growing under a tree is not a
problen.
Huge pumpkins grown in tree shade are not uncommon. The 977 Andersen and
the 833.5 Vanderschoot were both grown under tree shade conditions. Weights
in the 1000 lb. + are obtainable under a tree.........sunlight is only one
facor.....your seed selecion,
weather, watering and fertlizing regimin, drainage, and local growing
condions are important factors.....
also.......a heavy concentration of tree roots can be a problem. Many trees
have a root system
that may interfere with an AG plant.......some are compatible ........some
have dense roots and
present a problem.
