Cloche/greenhouse

Hi,

Can anyone give me some advice on how to build a cloche/greenhouse
around my pumpkin?  I can put together a rectangular frame no problem,
but It is the top/roof that I am most concerned about.  I have seen
others
and it looks like they are using PVC pipe to give it an arc effect.  Is
this 
the best/cheapest way to do this?  Also how would you make it sturdy if
the
dimensions were 12 feet in width.  I'm worried about the PVC shifting.

I have a 6 foot wooden fence on two side that could be used as part of
my
frame.  Should I put the plastic all the way to the ground on these two
sides
even if no sun could hit the plastic?  Would it help with insulation?
