Re: Any updates from NZ or Australia?

Everyone seems a little reluctant to say exactly how much their pumpin
weighs.

I called Ken Ryan (Australian Record Holder) tonight and he said his is
better than 160 kg (perhaps about 200 kg and stopped growing) but he didn't
feel it was competitive.

Ken said his friend in Lismore has one that weighs 240 kg. Now last year
this same person had one that weighed 249 kg and was sent to the Sydney
Easter show because it was too far to send it to Melbourne. This year he is
likely to enter it in the AGPVS competition at Toowoomba. We should get his
name for the records.

Wendy describes her pumpkin as 100+ but does not believe in interfering with
them too much, I assume that includes measuring too regularly.

I have two around the 160 kg mark.

Jason Souness (last year's winner) has one described by John McKinney as
"good"
