Prince Edward County Pumpkinfest Grower's Seminar

The first annual Grower's Seminar in preparation for the second annual
Prince Edward County Pumpkinfest will be held tomorrow, Sunday March 8th
in the arena in Wellington, Ontario.
All growers are welcome and activities will begin at 12:00 noon with a
sale of seeds from Greer and Ives Pumpkins and some specialties donated
by other prominent growers.
This will be followed by John Lyons, world champion squash grower from
Baltimore, Ontario who will let us in on his growing techniques and
tips.
The second speaker will be Serge Leclair from GROWMARK , a lawn and
garden supply house in Mississauga.  Serge has grown championship
pumpkins for years in the Ottawa area before joining the GROWMARK team. 
He will speak on fertilization, soil amendments, watering schedules and
other cultural practices.

A panel discussion and question and answer session will follow and
joining our 2 guest speakers will be Canadian Champion Bill Greer  
(1006 lbs. in 96) and several other experienced growers.

The finale will be an auction of several top rated seeds, with 2 being
from Chris Anderson's 1997 World Champion 977.

This free seminar is open to all growers and potential growers.
