I finally broke down and ordered an electric sprayer (12 Volt). I was tired
of the old hand pumping and cranking up the big set I have on the large
tractor was always inconvenient for smaller jobs. I ordered a 14 gallon
FIMCO Lawn & Garden Sprayer form AGRI-SUPPLY. They advertised it at $99.95
& shipping and handling. It was shipped two-day from North Carolina and the
total came to $106.34. I must admit even though it has been raining steady
for two days enough was enough I did go outside in the rain and try it. It
has an automatic (Pressure switch) on and off feature that I like
tremendously. I plan to use it not only on my regular garden but it will
allow me to easily cover the entire pumpkin patch (possibly rice field if
El-Nino doesn't quit with the H20) without the normal hassle of having to
pump up the tank every few minutes or so. If we get a break in the weather
tomorrow afternoon I'm going to put captan, lime-sulfur and malathion on my
apples, plums and peaches. I let you know how that goes.
I enjoy the list.
