(If this message is a duplicate, sorry but my ISP is having mail problems)
This year is my first year as a member of the PNWGPG. So far I have received
two great mailings. You don't have to be in the NW to benefit from the
information. More details here:
http://www.eskimo.com/~mcalpin/rem.htm
The same can be said of the Ottawa-St Lawrence Growers. Details here:
http://infoweb.magi.com/~farmrgus/
There is also the New England Pumpkin Growers Association (NEPGA):
http://www.athenet.net/~dang/nepga/nepga.html I am not sure the information
here is current as the page has not been updated since 9/96. (Help here?)
Also there is the World Pumpkin Confederation (WPC) but I don't know the
location of a current web page (Help anyone?)
IMHO, anyone who is sincere about this sport should join at least one of
these groups as the information is current, informative and adds a
foundation that makes much of what is talked about on this list much more
understandable because you have been exposed to it in these newsletters.
Plus, often membership provides you seeds that you would otherwise never be
able to get your hands on. (Perhaps a comment from the leaders of these
groups on this seed subject might be useful??)
The only reason not to join is because you will get mad at yourself for not
joining earlier. :-)
