actually i did but not with the intention of driving away bugs, but as my
memory goes the area with th turnips did not seem to have as many bugs. i
am very intrigued with this idea and i think it might work. also i
discovered some research done by Oklahoma State University on trap crops
which i tried. what i did was plant yellow crooked neck squash about 10
days earlier and i sprayed them for bugs often. i found that the squash
bugs and cuc beatles were greatly reduced because i killed them in their
earlier cycles before the attacked my pumpkin plants. this worked very very
well.
i raised 50 acres of pumpkins last year.
