Garden foggers/misters

Greetings!

I seem to remember some conversation on this list regarding garden foggers and
misters. Someone reported their Solo was wonderful and they couldn't live
without it.

I have a fogger that I was going to use and have now discovered it is broken
and cannot be fixed. I am in a position where I have to purchase a new one.
With about an acre to mist, could you kind folks give me your input on the
best one for this job? Money is no object (within reason, of course), but
quality is. I want this one to last. 

Let me tell you what I was told when inquiring at the local Solo
dealer......they have a mister attachment that couples to their lawn
blower.......Special order item. They have back-pack sprayers, etc, but we
could find no mister/foggers in the manual.

The local garden shops carry a hand held fogger for about $50 that fogs an
insecticide with pyrethrins (remethrin). The label said this would kill wasps,
spiders,moths, flying insects, etc. It did not mention the dread cucumber
beetle or the squash vine borer, of course. I'm not certain if the chemical is
water based or a miscible oil of some sort. I would think the latter. Is that
safe for pumpkins or garden vegs that one might eat?

If you happen to respond to this post, could you please provide make and model
numbers, plus manufacturer name? Also, if you got it from a chain like Wal-
Mart, K-Mart, Home Depot, Lowes, etc, please add that info, too. Additionally,
I would like to know what chemicals you use routinely in your "gizmo". (not
getting personal!)

If you ordered from a catalog or a private company and they have an 800
number, that would be helpful as well.

PS...BTW, I saw a lovely rear tined Troy-built Pony roto-tiller at Lowe's
today for about $650. Home Depot has a nice one made by MD for $609. What a
nice machine. Front-tined machines are readily available brand new for $328.
Was surprized they were that reasonable.
