contests

What organization does a person from Southwest Wisconsin join to enter
into giant pumpkin contests ?  Are there any "open" competitions where
you are not required to be a member ?

I have never entered a contest before and am pessimistic that I would
have been laughed at for my past performances, however I will be giving
it a go this year.
