John,
Is Anamosa, Iowa close? Hopkinton? Some of the Wisconsin and Minnesota guys
go there. No one will laugh at you for having a small pumpkin. My first year I
grew a 73 pounder. You ask just about any of the heavy hitters and they
started out growing 200 pounders. If they came out of the shoot with a big
one, they were probably helped by one of the veterans.
