Barb,
I was puzzled by this one too! "DRYER LINT" I hadn't heard of this before.
What possible good would this be? Then I surfed on this list this morning
that I will share with you. I sent it to directly to Brian earlier today.
All of this list made sense except the lint. Now where is the Carbon in this
stuff? Can anyone out there explain this to me? Shellie
ITEMS THAT CAN BE USED FOR COMPOST:
CARBON RICH
Dried plant material: leaves, twigs, vines, grass clipplings, pine needles
Dryer lint
Sawdust
Small Branches (cut up)Straw
NITROGEN RICH
Coffee and Tea Grounds (no bags)
Fresh Plant Clippings
Fruit Waste
Hair Clippings
Manure
Vegetable Waste
Wet Grass Clippings
ITEMS THAT SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR COMPOST:
Bread
Dairy Products
Dog and Cat Feces
Eggs
Fats, Grease and Oils
Invasive Plants (roots or seeds of Bermuda grass)
Meat
Plant Materials That Are Treated With Herbicides or Pesticides
Plants That Contain Toxins (eucalyptus, tamarisk)
