Two years ago I tried to grow some giants and tried a few tricks.
For one of my plants I took a 5 gallon jug full of a weak solution of
Miracle Grow & water & milk, placed it on a tub about 18 inches off the
ground, ran a rubber tube from the bottom of the jug which had a ball
blow up needle inserted on the other end. I siphoned the concotion until
it was flowing slowly but steadily, almost like a quick drip. I
inserted the needed into one of the vines a few feet from a pumpkin.
From my perception the plant took about two gallons into it over two
days then stopped. The nearby pumpkin showed little reaction except it
seemed to mature and quit growing in about ten days. I tried it on
another pumpkin with similar results.

My largest pumpkins came from a plant that I did the least amount of
"tricks" with (567 pounds & 616).

I'm interested if there are any legitimate tricks out there, I'll be
growing five plants and am game to try something that has potential but
is not a standard practice. Any special ingredients ?

I love just playing around !!
