Re: RE:Burrying Vines, Pinching & Pruning

Duncan,

I think Mike Brocs posting pretty well covered it. However this was a real
confusing issue for me when I first started. OK try and visualize a
Christmas Tree standing in a Forest. Now lay that Christmas Tree flat on the
ground. Your main vine is the trunk of the tree it grows straight out. The
side branches of the Christmas tree, your plant are the secondary vines,
they grow at or about a 90 degree angle to the trunk or main vine. The
third branch of the tree the tertiary vine grows at a or about a 90 degree
angle to the secondary vine. You don't see it on your Christmas Tree as you
have cut them all off! I use a good pair of Corona Pruning sheers. Every so
often I dip them in a 10% solution of Bleach, Sodium Hypochloride to
sterilize them. This is very important if you are moving from one plant to
another in order to help prevent the spread of disease. Didn't learn all
this here?
