yellow leaves

Yes, I was applying Miracle Grow (once a week). I know Miracle Grow has
salts in it. To much is no good but sometimes you just can't stop applying
it.......the plants love that stuff. My vegetables and flowers go crazy
when I use that stuff.

This year I am going to add little lawn fertilizer (water soluble type) to
the regular Miracle Grow. That should bring my nitro up and I am going to
apply it before I see the leaves turning yellow.

My ph was running about 6.7. I added some lime pellets in the fall to
bring that number up. I know if the soil is towards the acid side you
will definitely get yellow leaves. However, these pumpkin plants got
yellow leaves right after first fruit appeared........although soil
moisture changes could cause this. The weather here turned hot and dry the
same time leaves started to yellow.
