Complications

Here is a new problem which is the direct result of growing pumpkins. I was
clearing out the area around my pumpkin patch when I noticed a small mound in
the woods. The woods here are flat and the surface is rocky. I had hauled in
my soil as there was none. It is impossible to dig with a shovel. Anyway, I
noticed this elevation and as I examined it there was a small trench running
around the outside. We live in an area on top of a mountain which had been
extremely desolate and uninhabited. Hunters might have come through here only
occasionally. Anyway, the more I looked at this the clearer it became that
someone is buried beside my pumpkin patch. The mound is 8 feet long, about
four feet wide and is about 24 inches in elevation. Indians and settlers
walked on a trail in a valley about 100 feet from this site. I think one of
them may have died and was burried uphill from the trail and near to where my
patch was destined to be. There is a small rectangular head stone of natural
stone with no markings as was customary for both Indians and settlers of long
ago. Maybe Mafia also.

The quandry is what to do? Call the police? Call the University? Dig? Forget
it? If I wasn't growing pumpkins I wouldn't have these problems. Is the
Pumpkin Witch still out there? This could be up her alley.
