Hi all --
Someone (sorry -- don't remember who) came up with a really good point
-- how could a pumpkin still be growing into December in northern
Illinois? It's unlikely, but marginally possible. Here in suburban
Detroit, I've kept tomatoes going until November with shelter from
frost. Usually, by Thanksgiving, I've lost them. With enough money,
you could build a greenhouse over the pumpkin & heat it & so on -- but
you'd have to be pretty rich & pretty nuts about pumpkins to do it. If
anyone gets a copy of a picture or video, I'd love to hear about it.
Hope everyone has a great week!
Vicki
