Re: Shapiro 506

The 506 that I started outpaced any other seed that I had. It was also
my fastest and heathiest growing seedling. It was also very vigorous as
a young plant. It got sick aroung middle age and never did recover after
losing about 40% of its leaves. It was a very small and sickly looking
vine that grew my largest Pumpkin (#474). It was interesting to see this
little plant put up such a large pumpkin compared to my other plants
that were much larger and had much bigger diameter vines could only put
up a couple of 350 pounders.

I plan on planting this little trooper again this year.
