Bill,
Yes, Mike Stephenson is of Beaverton, Oregon (10 miles west of
Portland). He is on this list and will likely reply with some kind of
sob story about how his 819 was cheated of it's chance for glory because
of a crack. Don't listen to him, this man is a notorious sandbagger and
likely helped to cause this crack just to slow the pumpkin down. In this
way he hoped to decrease the interest in his seeds and hence corner the
market on Stephenson 819 trade. I for one have never bought this act.
Having played golf with the man numerous times over the last year I can
attest to the complex inner workings of his evil mind. He is probably
not completely Human.

Seriously though, as for his 819; I saw this pumpkin on several
occasions and it was really quite beautiful. It was ORANGE! Also it was
very round. I think that it is going to produce some suprises this year.
