Scott, I was the one with the cold treatment question the other day.
Didn't get many responses on it though. Trees from seeds though. I've
done this the past several years with both oak and pine up here in
Northern Minnesota. My oak took from acorns that i used and the pines
from the cones. The oak came up and is doing much better than the pine,
which surprises me. I put seeds in 5 gallon pails(3 yrs ago). and set
them out in summer and the oak comes inside in winter. I leave the pine
out all year now and it's doing ok.I have some apple tree seeds from our
trees that I am starting this week, hopfully they'll come up.This is all
kind of new to me, but I'm happy with the results I've gotten so far.
