Scott, Over the last 24 yrs we have planted 1000s of trees that we have
started. Mostly Black Locust, Honey Locust, and Black Walnuts. For the
walnuts I leave them under the parent trees until late winter, so they get
the cold treatment, then I pick them up in 5gal buckets to move home. I
lay down a sheet of plastic pour the seeds on, and cover with straw. I
keep them moist till they germinate, then pot'em or plant in soil. If you
plant fruit tree seeds there is no telling what kind of fruit and tree you
will get. You can also do cuttings on alot of trees like willows. Roger
