If the only AG's allowed to grow in a patch such as this were
the carefully hand pollinated sort, the AG's would be safe, right? It would
be anyones guess on the naturally insect pollinated fruits. I would not count on
AG's flowering well before anything. My AG's continue to produce male and
female flowers through the end of August.
We did experience a white AG from accidently crossed seed a
couple years ago. The fruit was an eerie white color, and grew to about
165lbs.

Subject: lumina/casper cross?DILEMMA; I'm going to plant 2 hills of AGs this year, but one of my boys wants acouple of Lumina and/or Casper (white) pumpkin plants. Will these cross withAGs? Should I plan for each variety to be planted on opposite ends of the garden? There would then be about 100 feet between the two. Do I have any thing toworry about since I'm planning on the AGs flowering weeks ahead of the whites??Thanks, Roy in s/e WYO.
