I am not sure if guttation water even appears on AG's. That is what I
need to know from experienced growers, before I waste time in the morning
watering before I go to work.
Also, I do not work on a golf course anymore, so I cannot try the baking
soda method. I gave up that career, and I now go to law school in the
evenings. It is a long, convoluted story how an agronomist winds up in law
school. Please don't think bad of me, all attorneys are not the same.
My personal opinion of the baking soda is that I would not risk it late
in the season. Fungicides are the way. My suggestion was to reduce the
frequency with an integrated pest management (IPM) technique. To each his
or her own, but I am a firm believer that chemicals when used in the proper
manner, with good cultural practices, is the best route.
In the amount I will be spraying, I am not worried about the risk. May
be it is because I worked on golf courses for 9 years, and became a little
"red-necked" about the risks. But after all the hard work, why take the
risk? Any thoughts?
Also, did you receive my bubble pack in the mail?
