NB GP snow
>Hi Al...With that amount of snow, you qualify to be in Northern New
>Brunswick...You got me going, I just had to take the old shovel out and
>see what I could find. My first two mounds are under 37 and 39 inches of
>snow with no drifting. On my third mound I quit at 5 feet but this one
>being close to a fence does have a bit of drifting. My vegetable garden,
>where there is a lot of drifting is covered with about 6 to 7 feet of
>snow. We can still travel over the fences around the farm by snowmobile.
>These measurements are just to the top of my mounds, not the ground
>level itself. Because of all this snow, I have to make the mounds in the
>fall...There isn't enough time in the spring to work the ground properly
>after the snow has melted...
> Al, isn't it disgusting the way people rub it in that they have already
>"tilled their garden"....Ah,,,but's it's fun just knowing that our
>pumpkin growing season is around the corner and that slow and easy does
>the trick.......Ken Reinsborough....Dalhousie. N.B.

Ken-yes,agreed,it "frustrating the way some people rub it in",but you know
the story of the old bull and the young bull---our weather is the old
bull,Giant Pumpkinly speaking.
But you take the cake re snow. How did you ever grow the amazing 711
provincial record in that sub-arctic climate.I predict too that your record
is safe for several more years.
You can be justifable proud of that 711.
I believe now that you take the prize for snow at present and I am a
distant second for anyone on here.Don't usually chit-chat much publicly, but
is is a GP garden snow/ice pack. Time to let it rest, and
melt-----take care
