Until someone grows out 200 plants from the same pumpkin at the same time
with the same weather with the same techniques etc...etc...etc.....we we be
visiting this topic.The fact remains many more seeds are not grown than
grown.The smaller weights are not grown enough to draw any conclusion or
comparison. The record doesn't tell all either (not by a VERY longshot) .As
thorough as the AGGC website and its database is,it is not (yet) nearly
representing all that goes on out there.....as a collector(one of many ) of
this info for Mike and Rock etc.. I see this every day.How many growers out
there lost thier big one during the season and went to the weighoff with the
side vine shock absorber fruit just to meet up with your pumpkin pals? The
record will indicate a small progeny in this case....but its misleading.
No-one ever hears about the Big Guy's little ones either.....
