Re: Transplanting
I think Bob shared a good idea, planting on an angle.
You can also try to prop it up until it gets bigger
and thicker.
This year one of my set ups had one desk lamp (w/grow
light) and two plants, each in one gallon pots. I had
the light right inbetween them, on the side not above
them. Both my plants were a little leggy too, but the
stems had naturally bent over as each grew toward the
light, as expected. The shape they took, to me, was a
good looking shape, the way I would want them to look
once they were bigger.
I wish I could say that I planned this all along, but
I just stumbled into it.
So put your light to the side and your plants will
bend
over naturally.

Rebecca,
Im going to have to steal this idea from a northern
friend of mine and suggest
you plant it slightly on the deeper side and a bit on
an angle ( so the first
true leaf would be up rather than down ). That way,
you are not planting so deep
that you increase your chances of choking. By planting
on an angle, you are
helping the plant lay down and hopefully decrease it's
chance of breaking.
Nine times out of Ten, the main vine grows opposite of
the the first true leaf.
Thus, the reason for planting with the true leaf
upward.
I have never done this myself but may have to try it.
Only other option may be
to scrap them and start over.
Good Luck,
