Marc, it is hard to believe a pumpkin will grow this fast when you have
never grown one, but you might as well start believing it now. If you don't,
odds are you will not be prepared for it. Expect your pumpkin to get up to
300 lbs and fast. Be ready to reposition it each day and to make
measurements. Be sure you are taking care of the soil underneath so that
your giant does not rot. And make sure to tell your fiance now that you are
addicted to growing giant pumpkin and that you will not be seeing much of her
unless you are talking about your pumpkin.
