I also had a stem on a plant split in the first 3 weeks, completely from
top to bottom, that was my Andersen 815 from 2 years ago which grew my 879
squash.. It opens up, but as long as you apply some captain, make an attempt
to cover it with soil the day after you captan it to prevent any damage to
fungii or disease, it should be okay… I hope you didn’t pull it..
