Chances are it will be OK if it perks up by the end of the day. You need to
get into a routine of checking the plant before you head off to work or
school....if it was dry by lunch then it was too dry when you left this
morning. They are very fragile in the young potted stage and should be
checked every morning....as the plant grows a root sysytem and is planted
outside you may get away with mising a watering because it has more areas in
the soil to pull water from but now its very important.
These plants will wilt if too hot or too dry.If really too hot and dry the
leaves will get crispy......they can and will often recover from the crispy
stage too....but each episode sems to set the plant back and it is
believed,or can be argued, that these crispy or overheating episodes may
contribute to a situation called flat vining or multiple vining....something
you don't want.
So for all you beginners.....check your plants in the morning (and
afternoon if possible) and see that they are watered......they'll survive the
night if dry,but during the day they'll cook.
