pumpkins in school
Here's a group challenge:
As an outgrowth of a pumpkin unit in math I did with
my students in the fall that included a 490 AG, I have
over 30 students interested in growing their own this
summer. I will start the seeds for them (100%
germination on my heated bathroom floor), but need to
send some growing tips home with each adoptee.
So here's your challenge...what SIMPLIFIED tips would
you give to 12yr olds for growing AGs? They did a
compost unit in Science so they know all about good
soil. Other than "plant it in the sun- it will grow"
I'm casting about for more basics to make this a
positive, doable experience for them.
And you all thought your homework days were over!
