Glenn,
With one exception, each leaf node has one leaf, a secondary vine, a
tendril, and a blossom. One leaf node, about 38 inches along the 45 inch
main vine has a double: one side has one leaf, two secondaries, two
tendrils, and two blossoms, and the other side has one leaf, one secondary,
one tendril, and one blossom. For curiosity's sake, I posted a photo of this
at
http://www.cramton.com/users/james/pumpkins/2000/doubleleaf.cfm.
The photos of the kink in the main vine are at
http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary.asp?eid=253&grower=1135
I should clarify that this photo is a composite of two images, taken at two
different angles. The left half is the view down the main vine toward the
kink, with the stump on the left middle. The growing end of the vine is off
the picture to the lower left. The right half is the view down the stump,
90 degrees from the first angle. The stump is in the lower left, and the
main vine trails off to the lower right. The kink is 9 inches from the stump
base.
Thanks for your help!
James
