Re: cover em up
Hi everyone
This is old news, but could happen to you. A storm passed through here last
week packing wind gusts of over 50 mph. I had three cloches sitting in a
line. When it was over the cloches were resting against a fence some 30 to
100 feet from where they were originally. They had been blown over and rolled
into it. All six doors were ripped off the hinges. The doors were all over
the patch. The damage to the plastic sheeting was relatively minor. I was
surprised at that considering the distance they had traveled. I wasn't home
at the time. My wife placed five gallon buckets over the plants with a heavy
rock on top of each. Miraculously, none of the plants were damaged. I was
able to repair all of the damage the next morning in a few hours. Now they
have steel stakes at each corner to hold them in place. I never experienced
anything like that before in the three seasons I have been growing AGs.
Good growing everyone
