AGs my 2nd year

Two seeds sown 6th May in polystyrene cups multi purpose compost/added perlite. Through today. Just AGs from last years seed packet. I had 4 seeds left gave 2 away and sowed these. Won local comp last year but dont know weight. Will take more note this year and try to encourage a bit of competition locally. Near Kingston-upon-Thames, UK
Ground not prepared yet as constant rain, wettest year on record, official. Never mind we do what we can when we can.
New to pumpkins last season but old hand with most other veg. Sounds like you have to be deranged to grow BIG ones. Any tips considering my current situation appreciated. If any California grower wants to swop places...I'm thinking of moving!
